Curiosity and instinct have always led my path, guiding me from painting into design and immersive experiences. I began as a self-taught painter, drawn to how small details could shift the entire feeling of a piece. That same curiosity pushed me into design, where I learned to create worlds people can move through — visual, physical, and cultural.
I earned my BFA in Graphic Design from DePaul University in 2022, designing for both the Office of Student Affairs and the Office of Student Involvement. Balancing structured, institutional branding with expressive, student-facing work taught me how to adapt my style across tone, audience, and purpose — a flexibility that has shaped every role I’ve taken since.
In 2021, I joined Published Studios under the mentorship of Demir Mujagić. I learned the full spectrum of creative direction, from print production to apparel, and found my footing in community-driven streetwear. That experience led me to SaveMoneySaveLife, where I interned for Vic Mensa, and to production and art direction gigs with Project Lexington and Studio Brand on large-scale activations for HBO Max’s Pa’lante! Max at Suenos Festival, Creatives of Color at WNDR Museum, and Jack Daniel’s at NASCAR. These projects taught me to think beyond visuals and design experiences people can move through.
Alongside all of this, I worked in hospitality, which grounded everything I do. It taught me how people connect, what makes them feel welcome, and how energy and environment shape experience. Those lessons became the foundation for Lee Collective. What began as small Lunar New Year house parties grew into large-scale cultural events celebrating Chicago’s Asian community through design, production, and storytelling.
Since then, I’ve expanded into advertising with agencies like Ten35 and am currently freelancing with the Obama Foundation, sharpening my toolkit while continuing to grow Lee Collective with projects like Mahjong Club and Xiao Mei.
Today, my work lives at the intersection of art, design, and community. As a queer Taiwanese woman, I’m driven by connection — creating spaces and visuals that center culture, creativity, and people first.
