The New Vanguard: Creatives of Color

Annie served as a Production Assistant and Art Director for The New Vanguard: Creatives of Color Series, an eight-month project highlighting four Chicago artists—Nikko Washington, Chelsey Carter (Alex Carter Brand), Tubs, and Crowezilla. She led the art direction for their installations and assisted with fabrication, working under tight turnarounds to bring each artist’s vision to life at Chicago's WNDR Museum. Each installation was carefully crafted to highlight the artist's significant impact on both their local Chicago community and broader cultural narratives. The project included intimate 30-person dinners and larger 300+ attendee community events, all produced by the Studio Brand team, offering an immersive experience that celebrated both the artistry and the cultural contributions of each featured creator.
